ARTISTRY Spa Collection in Pink Grapefruit

Earlier, I met up with my Artistry™ contact to get to know each other better. I had initially met her earlier this week at the opening ceremony of the Philippine Fashion Week.
In the middle of our exchange, we had, of course, talked more about Artistry™. One of the things I found out is a “must-try” rating that the brand’s spa collection has. She was basically mad about it. She had told me that she absolutely loves the scent, which was Pink Grapefruit, and the refreshing feeling after each use. She feels rejuvenated. Fortunately, we were close to Amway’s HQ in Makati so we walked over there so she can show me these three products.
Foaming Body Wash (left)
Luxurious foaming cleanser that gently cleans your skin. Contains Nutrilite-approved grape seed extract, acerola cherries and citrus bioflavonoids for the ultimate cleansing experience. Also contains aloe to help soothe and hydrate your skin. Scented with a refreshing pink grapefruit fragrance.
Moisture Soufflé (middle)
Whipped, creamy moisturiser that drenches your body in moisture. Contains Nutrilite-approved grape seed extract, acerola cherries and citrus bioflavonoids to help your skin feel silky smooth. Features ARTISTRY Hydrolipid Matrix to protect your skin against moisture loss. Scented with a refreshing pink grapefruit fragrance.
Sugar Scrub (right)
Sugary blend of crystals suspended in a light gel that hydrates, softens and polishes your skin simultaneously. Contains Nutrilite-approved grape seed extract, acerola cherries and citrus bioflavonoids to help your skin feel silky smooth. Helps seal in moisture with crystals that melt away, leaving no residue. Scented with a refreshing pink grapefruit fragrance.

To be quite honest, I had no idea how Pink Grapefruit smells like until then. It’s quite fresh and novel. As for the actual experience, I have yet to find out. She tried to explain how the Sugar Scrub works, with actual sugar grains melting on your skin as you use it. I reckon it’s an alternative to the use of usual beads for exfoliation, yea? As for the Moisture Soufflé, you use it right after your shower or bath. It’s a very thin, light layer that leaves your skin soft, supple and silky. She said that it’s formulated to hydrate the skin.
With all these pitches on each product, I guess I still have to wait till I get around to sampling it for me to come up with a real verdict. For now, I’m wishing that it has a more attractive packaging and its availability be more accessible. Right now, you can only purchase Artistry™ products from Amway offices or Independent Business Owners (IBOs).

I love the scent of pink grapefruit. Did you know that it’s supposed make you look six years younger in the eyes of a male? I guess I should bathe in the product.

Yea, someone did tell me that bit of “benefit” in using Pink Grapefruit. Wonder if there’s a scientific explanation or a study that supports that claim.

I first heard about it from Sophie. She has stuff from TBS. She loves the Pink Grapefruit scent!

It was a study published by The Smell and Taste Institute, and they concluded that broccoli, banana, spearmint leaves, and lavender did not have any effect on age reduction — just grapefruit.

Cool. Thanks for the link! But the article admits that there’s no scientific explanation for the “phenomena”, only theories.
“It could be that the aroma simply makes people happy and that happy people judge others in a better light”
I’m guessing that the scent is a therapeutic experience affecting the mood, hence, effecting positivity all around, more than anything else. :)
