Falsies: Basic Touch or Fantasy Splurge?
A choice between going for a safer route on Basic Lashes or for making a splash with Fantasy Lashes for this Saturday’s Red Light Party.
With many options available for them false eyelashes over at Shu Uemura, I’ve found myself in a bind. How to choose. Which to pick. Decisions, decisions. Ah, the vanities of life. What a dilemma, eh? Pah.
The pragmatic in me wants to go for the safer and more practical choice, Basic Lashes (S217, Shu Uemura - top). Decidedly more natural-looking, which will definitely enhance the volume and length of the eyelashes, making your eyes pop out. Considering that it’s subtle enough to wear during daytime but won’t lose its luster at night.
However, the more adventurous side of me wants a little bit of kick and go for the more obvious, bold statement maker, Fantasy Lashes (Dazzling Diamante, Shu Uemura - bottom). Such luxurious, flirt-y and fun sight it would be! I can actually envision the shadows on my cheeks, feel the fluttering at every bat of an eyelash. PLUS! Wouldn’t it be fantastic to see them on photos? It creates this inexplicable blubbering excitement. Downside is that it’ll definitely be a show-stopper. Do I really want that sort of attention? Another is, will it be easy to keep it on?
Again. Decisions, decisions. I wonder what sort of falsies will I end up using?
Which one would you go for?

Both are really beautiful! I’ve only ever worn MAC false eyelashes myself, and they were great. I’ve always heard Shu Uemura’s were very high quality - better than MAC. I agree with Nikki……The basic/natural ones look like they’d really “pop” too!

I’m a new falsies user, but I’d have to say the natural ones too. When falsies have all that stuff on them, they look too fake, and thats not what you want. Unless thats what your going for lol

I was thinking the same thing. Getting the basic will give me the same effect only the fantasy one will be a lil more fancy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! :)

well, do you have to get shu uemura for basic/plain lashes? why don’t you just get a less high-end brand for plain-looking lashes, and get the fancy shu uemura, since that’s what they specialize in?

Good question. A friend had tipped me on getting cheap ones for practice. I’ll probably look into comparing Shu’s basic lashes with the cheap ones, too. Better to see their individual values for myself, that way I can best determine whether if it is better to go for cheap ones over getting a Shu. :)
