Of Superstition & Asian Beliefs
Oh, this is still a beauty blog. You’re still with Sasha here at Beauty Bento Box. I just found it funny that the day of this blog’s official launch is today. You do realise what date it is, yeah? It’s Friday the 13th. LOL. But yea, join me as I celebrate the coming out party of a new beauty in the channel:

Asians are a bunch of superstitious people but I’m not generalising, ok? Most of us are. Personally, I’m aware of the superstitions but they don’t carry much weight to the general direction of my life. I mean, if a superstition would hinder me from taking a shower on a hot and humid day, do you really think I’d give a damn about the former? I’m taking that shower, heck, I’ll even jump in the nearest pool for all I care. Heh.
Bottomline, whatever it is that is believed to come with the date today, I refuse to accept it. It will not stop me from picking up that eyelash curler or dabbing some tea tree oil or celebrating the launch of this new beauty blog. Last I checked (around two posts ago) Beauty Bento Box has, 17 posts with 17 comments in 17 categories anyway. That’s got to mean something good, right? Hmmm. And I thought I wasn’t superstitious. LOL.
Welcome everyone, feel free to subscribe to the Bento feed and keep yourself updated and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Being Chinese, we are so darn superstitious! Even my dad wouldn’t date an invoice awhile ago for 7-13, he just wrote 7-14! Hahaha! :) But then treating it like a normal day or an extraordinarily lucky day ( beating the belief ) would be great! :)
Congratulations on your beauty blog Sasha! :)

Spot on, Dexie! ;)
I’m not surprised! LOL. But yea, you’re suggestion is indeed a great way to beat the belief. Thanks, Sophie! I hope you’d keep me company. I appreciate all your tips! :D
